James E. ( Jim ) Kohnke, is an international trade and transportation consultant - having served offshore, coastal and international marine operations in a number of capacities during an interval spanning four decades. In recent years, he has specialized in the logistics of arranging and coordinating transportation project and regular intermodal freight traffic movements with door-to-door service. An active participant in the transportation field, Mr. Kohnke is a member of the B.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Plimsoll Club and other groups. He is a Past-President of the Vancouver Transportation Club and the Vancouver Transportation Foundation. He is Past Chair of the Transportation committees of PACE and the B.C. Chamber of Commerce. He was elected to the PACE Board of Directors in 1996 and continues to represent them at the Alaska Chamber of Commerce and on the Whatcom Council of Governments IMTC ( International Mobility and Trade Corridor ) Project. Aside from his independent consultant activity, he currently manages PACE administration as Executive Director. Mr. Kohnke is also on the Board of the ITS Corporation, a subsidiary of Trans-Link ( Greater Vancouver Regional Transportation Authority ).
